"Death by Man"

Death by Man: Some call it homicide. Some call it the “death penalty.” I call it wrong.

It’s a very sensitive issue. I am not for killing anybody except when it comes to self-defense and only if it's the only way. I disagree with the death penalty. Judgment for a man’s crime should be left to the Most High. Some can probably argue, if criminals know they won’t be killed/executed for horrific acts there will be more crimes. I still believe it’s wrong. While these criminals should be punished/rehabilitated, other men in power should not have the power to decide/judge another man’s death.

This issue came into my thought today, when I found out bad news about Troy Davis who is accused of killing a man and is on death row. Just recently his scheduled date was rescheduled hours before his death/lynching, by a supreme court judge who intervened to allow the case to be heard. Now, I hear the court denied him the chance to be heard and so his “lynching” is rescheduled for the end of this month(10/27). Very sad especially knowing this man, who is a victim of a police interference in his case, will end up “lynched.”

Condemning the evils of this practice, I pray for this man who is a victim. I pray that something happens between now and the scheduled date to prevent this act of crime/homicide/wrong. I pray that the people in charge see their wrong. I pray that people wake up and speak up against such injustice.

This injustice can be extended to you and others you know. Imagine that?

i never thought about blogging but here i am. it's a good way to share/debate ideas so i am here to do that.
